The CJTE: Educator Series Courses

B’yachad: The Teacher Development Institute

B'Yachad is a nationally recognized program designed to prepare new teachers to succeed in Jewish educational settings.

B'yachad features 10 workshops.

  1. Establishing a positive start to the school year

  2. Creating an environment for learning

  3. Classroom management

  4. Piaget's Theory of Cognitive Development

  5. Teaching Techniques and Educational Gaming

  6. Multiple Intelligences: Different Ways of Being Smart

  7. Lesson Planning

  8. Effective Questioning Skills

  9. Student Assessment/Ending the Year Effectively

  10. Teaching Excellence: Bringing it all Together

WHEN:  Wednesday evenings, starting in October of 2007; 7:00 - 9:00 PM
WHERE:  BJE Center for Jewish Teacher Education; 3320 Dundee Road in Northbrook

TUITION:  $180 (payable to the Board of Jewish Education)
