Jewish Family Events - We have
developed a rich variety of Jewish family
experiences that are designed to both optimize
Jewish values and be a comfortable experience
for all of our young Jewish families. All
Jewish holidays and Shabbat are celebrated. We
welcome families from a wide spectrum of
Jewish life and encourage grandparents and
other extended family to participate in any
and all of our Jewish family events. |

Jewish Family Education - Responding
to parental requests for Jewish family
education for parents, we are introducing a
Jewish family education component at each of
our Centers beginning this fall. Hands-on
workshops on each major holiday and Shabbat
will be offered - four times a year - so that
over the three year span that most children
are enrolled in our Centers, all Jewish family
oriented events will be covered. The workshops
are being planned so that parents can avail
themselves of the opportunity to explore what
and how each holiday can become part of their
family life. |

Parenting Education - Recognizing
that children's education is most effective
when supported by strong family life, we have
developed a parenting education component in
some of our Centers. Coordinated with the
Jewish Children's Bureau, we are planning to
offer this program in all of our Centers. |

Parent Participation - There are two
full parent-teacher conferences, as well as a
phone conference early in the year for each
class. On-going communication between parents
and teachers is encouraged. Our Reggio
approach to early childhood education
advocates parent participation in the on-going
curriculum. |
