Our innovative, enrichment programs are brought to your schools for students and families. Each workshop is designed by an outstanding educator who understands how to make learning exciting and interactive. Programs have been reviewed and refined with the staff of the Marshall Jewish Learning Center. 

Each Program is $225.00 
BJE member schools receive a 10% discount.

BLESSING FOR THE HOME

In this lively workshop, students learn the history and meaning of different Jewish symbols and then apply this knowledge to create a personalized Blessing of the Home wall hanging. A variety of interesting materials will be available for students to choose from and simple techniques will be introduced so that each participant will leave with their own beautiful, unique art piece.
Patterns and short-cuts will be provided for the non-artist! 

LIGHT AND MEMORY

This fast-paced workshop begins with small group discussion and text study that explores the concepts of light and memory in the Jewish tradition. Following our learning, students will create their own beautiful memorial candle holder for their home. The candle holder may be used for family remembrances or can be customized as a Holocaust memorial holder. 

ATTRACTIVE LAND EXPERIENTIAL TOUR

Program length: 1.5 hours   

For up to 25 children. 

Using the giant 380 square foot Attractive Land map of Israel, students will take an interactive tour of the land of Israel. The group solves riddles to guide them on their journey which may include trying on Dead Sea mud, a mock tel dig, a Carmel region grape juice tasting, and a unique view of the country through 3-D pictures. Students follow the journey on their own sticker map. 

EXPLORING THE LAYERS OF TORAH ART AND LEARNING FOR THE B’NAI MITZVAH STUDENT

Grades: B’nai Mitzvah  
Program length: 1.5 hours

This workshop is designed for the B’nai Mitzvah student to explore the layers of meaning found in their Torah portion and to develop personal relationships with the stories, mitzvot and personalities. Each student will work independently on their own parashah, and should have already read or engaged in some study of their Torah portion. Students will create a book out of mylar, building layers and connections as they visually explore levels of understanding: the literal story the mitzvoth the Torah portion’s connections to God how the student personally connects to her Torah portion. The workshop will culminate with a gallery walk, providing the students with the opportunity to share, teach and ask questions about what they learned. 

SHABBAT AROUND THE WORLD

Grades: Kindergarten – second graders & their families 
Program length:1.5 hours 

This workshop centers on the celebration of Shabbat around the world. Families will learn Shabbat customs that reflect the traditions of different countries where Jews have lived. The program features singing, storytelling, drama and art.  Many ideas taught can be incorporated in home Shabbat celebrations.
